How is Pricing Determined?

Once the required information has been entered into the filling screen, ProPharm will calculate the script's price. Toward the bottom of the screen you should see the Price amount, Insurance amount, and the Copay. These amounts are based on the Pricing Tables that have been set up for your pharmacy, as well as the cost of the drug and the quantity being dispensed.

Can I Adjust the Pricing?

To view more details about the script's pricing, click on the View Pricing Info option. This will open the Pricing Results window. From within this window, you can see how the price was calculated, but you can also choose a different Price Table or enter a different total in the Figured Price field.

From this window, you can also click on the Details button to view a further breakdown of the script's pricing.

When you are Editing a script (rather than entering a new one), you will also have the option to Re-Cost the script from within the Pricing Results window. This means that the Acquisition Cost associated with the script when it was saved will be updated to the current Acquisition Cost of the drug. (This may be useful if there was bad data being used and the original Acquisition Cost was abnormally high.)
