Reason Codes

You can set up Reason Codes to be used when users are completing certain tasks. For example, when users Delete or Discontinue a script, they can type a reason or select one from a drop-down menu. When choosing a reason, users can search through the list of reason codes that have been set up for their pharmacy and select the reason that best fits their situation.

How Do I Add a Reason Code?

1.Click on the System menu item.

2.Select Reason Codes. The Reason Code Maintenance screen will open.

3.Click on the Create New Reason Code option.

4.Enter a Title for this code and then enter the Text. (The Title is the code that will appear when users are searching for a reason. The text is the description of the reason code.)

5.Mark the Active checkbox. (This can be unmarked later if you decide the reason code should no longer be used.)

6.Click on the Save button.

 

 

How Do I Edit Reason Codes?

You can search for existing reason codes and edit them whenever necessary. To make changes to a code:

 

1.Click on the System menu item.

2.Select Reason Codes. The Reason Code Maintenance screen will open.

3.You can start typing in the Search Reason Code field to begin a search or scroll through the list of options and select the correct code.

4.Make any necessary changes to the Title or Text. You can also mark or unmark the code as Active.

5.Click Save.
