What are My Options for Automatic Updates?

Automatic updates allow you to keep your pharmacy software updated to the latest version of ProPharm One+. The support staff can set up a service which will check periodically for new versions of the software. This service can be set to run Daily, Weekly, or Monthly. When the service runs, if a newer version of the software is available, ProPharm will be updated automatically.

 

There is also an Update Frequency option of "Never." If this option is selected, automatic updates will be disabled.

 

To adjust your update settings, you can click on the Tools menu item and select Updates. This will open the automatic updates screen. On this screen, you can see the current version of the software that you are running as well as the current version of Medi-Span. Release notes will be displayed on the right side of the screen, identifying changes included in the latest update. (You can also view past release notes from previous versions of ProPharm.) You can make changes to your update settings from within this screen.

 

If the support staff has set up your service to run auto updates the date and time of the next available update will be shown on this screen. When this time comes, your software will be updated automatically (unless updates have been disabled).

 

There is also a button at the bottom of the screen to Update Custom Reports. This option can be used with the help of our support staff. When a support staff member lets you know that there are updated Custom Report files ready to be received, you can use this option to receive those files.

 

 

How Do I Change the Date of the Next Automatic Update?

If you want to change the date that the next update will occur, you can click on the Edit Date button. You can then enter the desired date into the Next Update Date field and click on the Save Update Date button.

 

 

If an update should already have started but something has gone wrong and no update is occurring, there will be an option to Override update date. You can click on this button to reset the next update date to a time in the future.
